Go ahead for Burbo Bank wind farm extension
Burbo Bank Extension offshore wind farm has been given development consent by the Department for Energy and Climate Change.
With up to 69 wind turbine generators and associated offshore infrastructure, the wind farm will be located in the Liverpool Bay, north west of the Wirral coastline. It will cover an area of 40 km² and have an estimated generating capacity of up to 250 MW.
